Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny — the Augusta, GA mathcore duo — brought their angular, punishing assault to Atlanta’s 529 on August 31st. Playing selected tracks from their recent EPs, George’s Bush and Aura Farming Simulator, the symbiotic back-and-forth between guitarist Alex Elkin and drummer Dalton Jenkins saw them lock into a trance-like state of polyrhythmic metallic squeals and breakdowns that felt like a manic episode.
Though still early in the life of this project, Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny are quickly building a devoted following through blistering live performances and wildly entertaining reels of their jam sessions and covers. One thing is undeniable: this duo with three names are only getting started.
