Coming off of their July 24th release I Know What I Saw via Profound Lore, Nashville shoe-gaze trio LOCKSTEP hit The Earl on the Atlanta date of their tour supporting Chicago’s REZN. Compared their 2021 debut and 2023 EP, I Know What I Saw explores a warmer and more cohesive approach that transitioned perfectly live. Overdriven guitar and bass coupled with alternating vocals from guitarist Matt Schumacher and drummer Austin Rollinson created a soundscape more substantial and massive than you’d expect from a three-piece. With such a phenomenal record and a live performance to match, LOCKSTEP have certainly solidified their place as one to watch in the genre.
