Bay Area thrash veterans Heathen have announced their new album, Lifetime in Hell, out February 19, 2027 via Napalm Records, and released the first single, “Escapegoat,” with an official music video. The band’s final tour of 2026 brings them to Atlanta on November 13 at The Masquerade with Forbidden and Void. Vocalist David White says “Escapegoat” is “the first piece of the puzzle we wanted you to experience” from an album the band hopes will be “the greatest Heathen album to date.”
Lifetime in Hell is the band’s first full-length since 2020’s Empire of the Blind, produced by Zeuss at Planet Z, with drums by Jason Bittner and a guest appearance from Jeff Loomis on “Glass House.” Guitarist Kragen Lum says the video explores the distractions people use to escape reality, “until we can’t.” Formed in 1984, Heathen helped lead the Bay Area thrash scene with Breaking the Silence (1987) and Victims of Deception (1991).
