Atlanta-based rock outfit The Stews has released their new single, “Used To,” out now via No Coincidence Records. Produced alongside Collective Soul founding member Will Turpin at his Real 2 Reel Studios in Atlanta, the track builds from a sparse, driving intro into a soaring, full-band chorus. The band celebrates with a busy fall live schedule, including a hometown-area stop on October 8 at Athens’ Georgia Theatre, following festival sets at Bourbon & Beyond and Iron Blossom.
The band says “Used To” is about the disorientation of change, whether in relationships, places, or friendships, adding, “We hope ‘Used To’ gives people a sense of inspiration as they’re going through change, in whatever way they may need it.” Made up of Preston Hall, Blake Dobbs, Bennett Baugus, and Wyatt Griffith, The Stews broke out with 2021’s self-titled EP and its hit single “Make It Out,” and have since sold out shows at Bowery Ballroom and 9:30 Club while playing Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, and Hangout Music Festival.
