Insomnium have released a video for “Arch of the Sky,” the third single from their upcoming album, Netherworlds, out October 16. The Finnish band will support the record with a North American tour alongside Amorphis and Hinayana, stopping in Atlanta on December 13 at The Masquerade. Guitarist and clean vocalist Ville Friman says the song introduces a proggier side of the album, with time signature changes and lyrics inspired by Sámi mythology’s legend of celestial hunters pursuing a deer across the arch of the sky.
The accompanying video, directed by Patric Ullaeus for rEvolver.se, blends live band performance with traditional animation depicting the myth. Netherworlds will be available in a range of formats, including a limited deluxe 2CD artbook and several colored vinyl variants, with pre-orders live now. After a run of summer festival dates, Insomnium will tour extensively worldwide, including a European run with Amorphis in January and February 2027 following the North American leg.
